Teaching Procedure:
Step 1 Warming up
I. Greeting with “How are you?” (Fine, thank you.)
II. Sing the song of “ A funny story”.
III. Revision the rhyme of “Hello’s funny book.”
Step 2 Presentation
I. Lead out the word of “Colour”.
(While the teacher through the students and stand the student in a red coat, then say “How beautiful your coat is!”)Tell the students the reason is the coat’s colour is very nice. By this way lead out the new word of “Colour”.
II. Look and listen to a song “Colours” by VCD.
III. Show “red” by PPT, and then read the word follow the teacher for twice.
IV. By this way, teach them the other words “blue, yellow, green, black, white, pink, purple.”
V. Ask the students read the words after the teacher for twice.
Step 3 Practice
I. Point and say;
Take out the activity books, let’s listen, point and say.
II. The key sentences.
Show colorful cards, let the students distinguish the colours and say,and then the teacher say
“I like blue. What colour do you like? Ask a student to answer this question.
(By this way lead out the key sentences.)
III. Practice the sentences.
Dividing the students into four groups, let them play and talk, follow the game of page 25.
IV. Pair works.
Lead them to practice the sentences with the cards ---- Ask and answer.
Step 4 Sum up
I. Look at the apples in PPT. There are many colorful balls.
“What colour it is?”
II. Show the eight kinds of colorful balls, and let the students distinguish and say the colours.
III. Show the red card, and ask the students
“What colour do you like?”---- “I like red.”
Step 5 Homework
I. Copy four letters, each for ten times.
II. Listen and read the song follow the tape or VCD, until you can sing.
